URBAN RETREAT HOSTEL

The Urban Retreat Hostel is a snow lover’s dream! Our hostel is ideally situated in the heart of the Big White village which is 60kms from Kelowna, BC. The hostel has 90 dorm beds and seven private rooms.

We are within walking distance of everything you’ll need including groceries, equipment rentals, pubs, and restaurants. We have a ski-in-ski-out location which provides access to most of Big White’s ski lifts and the terrain park from our backyard in minutes. For a true ski hill experience, The Urban Retreat Hostel is “the place to be.”

Inside you’ll find everything you will need to be comfortable and relaxed. The hostel is in constant evolution constantly being upgraded to make our guests feel at home. We offer a massive TV room with comfy furniture for up to 30 people and a front desk/lobby with knowledgeable staff to help you with whatever it is you need. The whole hostel is filled with original art from paintings to graffiti, stencils and murals. We also have a free internet kiosk and paid wi-fi, a wax station, ski locker, day storage, a massive kitchen/common area big enough for the whole hostel to take part in dinners or games. The kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need to cook, lots food storage, 5 fridges, 2 deep freezers, 3 cooking areas and 2 sink areas. We have coin operated laundry facilities, 4 fully functioning bathrooms, a safe at the front desk for safe storage.

The hostel has 90 dorm bed and 7 private rooms. We can cater for 1 person or groups of up to 60. All of our staff lives on site and so do 30 plus people who stay the whole season.
